Foothill College was the primary junior college in California to offer
online courses. Today, foothill offer more than 500 online school credit
courses that are well known among students in the Bay Area and around the
globe.
Foothill College Accreditation
Foothill College is certified by the Accrediting Commission for
Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), Western Association of Schools and
Colleges. This association is perceived by the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation and the U.S. Bureau of Education. Foothill College's
accreditation was reaffirmed by the ACCJC in January of 2012 after the finish
of a far reaching self-study in August of 2011 and site assessment group visit
in October 2011. In January 2013, the ACCJC audited Foothill College's
Follow-Up Report, which tended to foothill proposals made by the site
assessment group in 2011. In February 2013 the ACCJC kept in touch with
Foothill College and expressed that the sum total of what suggestions had been
tended to and any related insufficiencies determined. Foothill College
presented a Mid-Term Report to ACCJC in fall of 2014.
